Liberty of London is like no other department store. Liberty was a definite stop for me on my trip to London. I so miss the days when there was a tiny shop in New York.
While here in the states, sewing departments are far and few between, at Liberty of London such a department is elevated to an art form.
Just follow the foot prints to…
a world of gorgeous fabric.
As Liberty describes it “From intricate florals to dreams in Art Nouveau, the Liberty Art Fabrics Classics collection is unrivalled and timeless.”
“Featuring inspiration from the extensive archive and best-loved seasonal colours,…”
“…our edit brings together prints that have stood the test of time and become intrinsically linked to the Liberty brand.”
I know that once upon a time Mr. Scaper had a Liberty tie in a pattern very similar to that last blue floral.
While I was familiar with their material, I wasn’t with their notions.
I was so caught up in how they displayed things…
…it wasn’t until I got home and looked at my photos did I realize what the was contents. Talk about packaging!
As I write this post, I am reminded that I did bring home a sliver of material that I have yet to use. As I’m sure you can imagine, all of this beauty comes with quite a hefty price tag, so alas, it is only a sliver. I’ll have to put my thinking cap on to see what I come up with.
So, where have you been?
